If you like to party in any area of the definition. Or enjoy adult extra curricular activities, this is the place for you. This is not a child friendly enviroment. There water has some sort of chemical in it that smells of insect repellent, the ants and other insects that im not sure if Google even has a definition for are ungodly due to they do not treat their property. You have to maintain your own lot which is understandable. BUT you have to ask to do anything with your lot such as water your lawn, plant anything, put a fence up, build a deck etc. They charge you if you have any friends or family overnight or if they are going to stay any length of time. Their docks are wore down with accidents waitkng to happen. With holes and planks missing. You cannot have your watercraft parked at your home you have to store it in their boat storage area. Where there has been theft. The people whom are already there with the exception of a few partake in these extra cirricular activities and if you are not one to join beware the drama and the gossip will begin. The owners own brother was a part of a raid yet still was allowed to live there, look it up public information. This is not a place to take your home nor is it a place to bring your family on weekends. There are many other beautiful places on the elk that actually have a beautiful view, water that is actually clean to swim in and excellent fishing. .and you can do what you want when you want with YOUR home. This little hole of its own in hell however does not. Head this warning with extreme seriousness.
It is a very beautiful quiet place on Grand Lake where the river runs into the lake. Not sure about the fishing, just recently moved my trailer there just for that reason. It is beautiful and shady there and the England's ate very nice and very helpful. Mike and Debbie.
